Jakob 22 desperately wants absolution. Not for what he’s done in the waking world, but for the terror he’s wrought in dreams. The fourth visual from his Dreamstate Part 2 – The R.E.M. EFFECT release, the track is a melodic plea for forgiveness for the horrible acts he’s committed in both the dark recesses of his mind and the vulnerable r.e.m. states of others. More than an extended Freddy Kruger homage, Jakob’s character is a conflicted monster who wrestles with the same kind of pain he inflicts on his victims.
